The Senate Banking Committee will vote on the renomination of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke tomorrow, and he faces some vocal opposition: Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY) pledged that he would "do everything I can to stop your nomination and drag out this process as long as I can," and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who is not a member of the committee, has placed a hold on Bernanke's nomination that would prevent the entire chamber from voting on it.

One of the main complaints is that Bernanke has been too friendly to banks under the government's bailout regime. According to a new poll, Americans agree. In a new poll by Research 2000, 47 percent of respondents said Bernanke cares more about Wall Street; 20 percent said he cares more about "Main Street"; 33 percent weren't sure. The poll was commissioned by the Progressive Campaign Change Committee.

The question simplifies a central concept of the bank bailouts: that too-big-to-fail institutions on Wall Street are so integral to the functioning of the entire economy that they must be rescued, despite irresponsible behavior, in order to save the rest of us. In other words, the government was forced to tend to to Wall Street in order to save Main Street.

On Monday, TIME magazine's managing editor announced the short list for 2009's Person of the Year, including Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. Bolt was recently honored by the IAAF as the male Athlete of the Year. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke was named Person of the Year by Time magazine on Wednesday, a highly visible show of support at a time he seeks to beat back proposals that would erode the central bank's authority and independence. Time credited Bernanke with creative leadership that ensured 2009 would be a year of recovery, however weak, rather than a catastrophic second Great Depression.

"The recession was the story of the year. Without Ben Bernanke ... it would have been a lot worse," Time managing editor Richard Stengel said in a statement. "We've rarely had such a perfect revision of the cliche that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Bernanke didn't just learn from history; he wrote it himself and was damned if he was going to repeat it."

How could you not like this holiday? But it's not Christmas. Hanukkah is what rabbis call a minor Jewish holiday, even if it's celebrated as the Second Coming by a lot of folks I know. That's my problem. Why do we feel we need to turn a little holiday into an alternative Christmas?

Believe me, I'm as much to blame for this as the next person. For years, I've patted myself on the back for not having a tree or a wreath or stockings or anything else that would suggest we are celebrating the birth of another religion's savior. Christmas, I have taught my children and my parents taught me, is not "our" holiday. It is a religious holiday. We are not Christian, so we do not celebrate Christmas. How easy it sounds.

The personnel changes mean it's likely that George Stephanopoulos will be announced as Diane Sawyer's successor on "Good Morning America" within days. Cuomo has been the newsreader on "Good Morning America." His last day will be Friday, the same day as co-host Diane Sawyer, who is replacing the retiring Charles Gibson on "World News."

Mr. Obama met with Prime Minister Stoltenberg and with King Harald V and Queen Sonja at the Royal Palace before the address. The next political challenge comes in Copenhagen where world leaders and climate change gurus are meeting at a global summit. He’ll be back in Washington first.

So it seems that the woman taken from Tiger Woods' house was in bad shape when she arrived at the hospital, and is currently undergoing treatment for an as yet undefined illness. This also unnamed woman was taken from the Florida residence of Tiger Woods early Tuesday morning.

There are mixed reports about who the woman might be that was taken from Tiger Woods home by a stretcher, and it is possible that this was his mother-in-law, and mother to his wife Elin Nordegren. It took place at 2:36 A.M. where the woman was rushed to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. There is already a video floating around from the hospital that shows the woman as a middle-aged blonde, but no news outlet wants to hazard an official guess as to who the woman is at this time. On the morning of December 7, 1941, a surprise military strike was conducted by the Japanese navy against the US naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Pearl Harbor Day attack was meant to be preventative and keep the US out of the war. Two aerial attach waves were launched by the Japanese. Four US Navy battleships were sunk. Four more battleships were damaged. Two were later raised and returned to serve in the war.

It seems people are noticing the Actors left hand, which is still limp from an accident in 2008. Some people even thinking that his hand is a fake.

Freeman was in his Nissan Maxima near Ruleville, Mississippi on August 3, 2008 when the car left the highway flipping several times. His passenger in the car with him Demaris Meyer, was later to be rescued from the car using the jaws of life. Freeman was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis. Police ruled out alcohol as a factor in the accident. He broke his shoulder, arm and elbow in the accident, and suffered nerve damage in which he had surgery for.

Freeman told he press around the time, ” I wound up with a lot of nerve damage in my arm, so the hand is still paralyzed. So until the nerves get down there…” While promoting the Prom Night film a Canadian interviewer reported when interviewing Freeman, that he was “reclining on the couch” and his “left hand was limp and swaddled in a tan glove due to injuries sustained in an August 2008 car crash.”

FX Network has finished arranging its midseason schedule and announced that "Nip/Tuck" will begin its final season on January 6 with the series finale airing on March 3. The drama surrounding two plastic surgeons in Los Angeles has run the first half of season 6 this year. There are nine episodes left that will serve as the series' conclusion.

In addition, "Damages" is set to return with the third season on a new night which is Mondays at 10/9c. It kicks off on January 25 for a 13-week run. Campbell Scott and Martin Short join as series regulars while Lily Tomlin, Keith Carradine and Len Cariou guest star. The last three actors will play characters who have the same last name, Tobin.

Beside the return dates, FX also set the ones for new series "Archer", "Justified" and "Louie". An animated spy comedy, "Archer" has generated buzz online and will officially go on air starting Thursday, January 14 at 10/9c. The timeslot previously belonged to "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".

And now a legal investigation is underway to try and find the hacker. In the mean time, Sizemore has already contacted investigators from Major League Baseball to try and put a stop to any further publication.
